Lactation and Bottle-Feeding Services
- Extensive breastfeeding consultation – This visit includes a comprehensive physical assessment of both you and your baby, including a full lactation history, an infant oral motor assessment, suck assessment, observation of a feeding, evaluation of your infants weight/growth and an individualized plan to meet your breastfeeding goals.
- Difficulties with initiating and maintaining a proper latch including evaluation of tongue tie or restrictions
- Address concerns with increasing and/or maintaining milk supply
- Supporting transitions from NICU to home
- Difficulty with transitioning to bottles
- Address painful latch and health of breast and nipple including: cracked nipples, blisters, clogged ducts, and engorgement
- Support for Mom’s that are pumping and pump dependent
- Monitor weight gain with weight checks and weighted feedings
- Counseling and support
